Assignment Title: Fotobabble
Uses in the Classroom:
This technology tool is has a variety of useful applications in the classroom for both teachers and students. Teachers can use fotobabble to introduce a subject or topic to the class while describing key words and information relating to the topic via audio recording. Posting a picture can help students develop an understanding of the topic or use prior knowledge to create deeper meaning.
Students can also upload and create a picture with audio to describe a research topic, poem, science project, math problem, book summary, or even a fitness workout exercise. It could also be used in art class to create a description on what is portrayed in their image. In music class, students could use a picture and share a song that describes the picture.
Issues to Consider:
In order to use fotobabble, students must have access to a computer, internet access, and a microphone. Teachers must provide class time for students to create their projects so that they are guaranteed access to the needed technology tools to be successful in creating their fotobabble project.
