Assignment Title:  Photo Editing

Uses in the classroom:  Student's in today's world are visual learners.  In order to engage students in learning, using images and visuals is key.  Pictures can tell a story and usually have a lasting effect in student's memory.  Images are more stimulating to the brain than text, thus making it a useful tool in the classroom.  Images can be used in a variety of classroom settings and across all curriculums.  Allowing students to do image editing allows them to add their own style and creativity to the image.

Issues to Consider:  In order to edit images, students must have computer access as well as photo editing software.  The problem with this is how costly this software is.  There are many types of software and some are easier to navigate than others.  Depending on the student's photo editing background, they might be discouraged by how challenging these programs can be to use.
